Hossana Health Science College is located in Central Ethiopia Region Administrative and Political Center and Hadiya Zone main Town, Hossana, which is 232 km from Addis Ababa, the Capital of Ethiopia. The weather condition of Hossana is very suitable for all; because its elevation is 1900 meters above sea level, situated in highland area and average temperature ranges between 19-230c.
The college is the only higher Governmental Health Science College in the Region of Central Ethiopia and giving standard training in Diploma and Degree Programs in multidisciplinary method.
The College has different types of trained professional and utilizing variety of technologies; including computer laboratories which commonly serving Departments; and all Departments have its own Demonstrations beyond. In addition to suitable teaching learning rooms, the college has modern Library, vehicles for student transport service, Educational Development Center (EDC) to sustain educational quality, Continuous Educational Program for self and interested private applicants, student counselling service, Gender and HIV/AIDS related service, Continuous Professional Development Center with modern and sophisticated halls, General Maintenance and Workshop Services and others.
Moreover, the institution to enhance its services by modern technologies, it has built Mini Data Center and CCTV cameras installed to further security purpose. Then installation of E-Library, online examination and others are loaded near future.
Finally, Hossana Health Science College struggling to maintain and sustain the educational quality issues, with multipurpose activities on progress.
