   Registration/Application Procedure

  1. The office of the registrar will carry out the registration of admitted students at the beginning of every semester according to the announced schedule in the Academic Calendar.

  2. Registration for first-year students shall be conducted before  the student placement and orientation have been done

  3. Any student must register in person; however, if registration in person is not possible for valid and accepted reasons, the registrar can grant permission for registration from the officials and academic commission.

  4. All information on the official registration slip must be filled up in triplicate by the student and should be signed by the head of the department.   The first copy is then submitted to the registry, the second to the department, and the third copy must be kept with the student.  A student should produce a registration slip on request by the relevant bodies.

  5. Registration is completed when the registrar’s office ‘REGISTERED’ stamp is placed on the official registration slip. So, the students should go through these steps and ensure registration.

  6. All students should produce grade reports of the last semester to be registered and private students should produce receipts of the semester course fee too. As long as the aforementioned conditions are kept, the actual process of registration shall be as follows;

  7. Department heads transfer the list of courses to be offered in the respective semester to the office of the registrar before the start of the programming.

  8.  The registrar produces registration slips to be handed out to students according to their department.

  9. The registrar shall issue a list of students fulfilling the academic requirements for their registration in the upcoming semester/year.

  10. On the scheduled date of registration, students collect their registration slips, fill them in with the correct information get them signed by their department head, and submit them to the registrar.

  11. The registrar checks against the list issued before putting the seal ‘Registered’ and issues the first copy of the slips to the student, the second copy to the department, and the last copy to the registry.

  12. Meanwhile, the registry renews the ID card of registered students by putting the seal ‘renewed’ on the ID card.

  13. Issuance of ID cards for first-year students shall be done soon after registration is completed

  14. The registration feeThe amount of the registration fee will be updated based on the existing college and Government regulations.  Meanwhile, currently, the registration fee for regular and private students is 100 Birr and 200 Birr respectively. Therefore, students shall pay the registration fee as requested.
